Blasting Pixels, 2019 | Experimental Film | 24 mins
Blasting Pixels is a moving image project that blends experimental film, documentary and performance. Pulling from a personal collection of MiniDV’s and Super 8 film footage of Venezuela and Panama, drawings and paintings, and blending in dance performance with animation, Blasting Pixels explores time and personal memories, tied to a documented passion for flying. Original score by Carlos Dominguez, render animation by Juan Maristany and performance by dancers Roxana Barba and Liony Garcia.
This project is presented as an installation, performance and film. The film was designed to project onto an extended paraglider.
Blasting Pixels was created in residency at MDC Live Arts Lab Alliance and it was presented at the MDC Live Arts Lab on February, 2019.
